Linda Carruth is a photo-illustrator who has been in business for over 30 years. Her work is conceptual, layered, colorful, and textured. Linda’s illustrations allow the viewer to think and imagine beyond the image. She gains inspiration from wildlife, romantic themes, and vintage retro objects. Her work can be seen in personal art collections, on book covers and merchandise, and in editorial magazines. Additional services include conceptual/realistic/product illustration, technical art, graphic design and retouching.
Over 30 years experience in illustration, technical art, retouching, and graphic design; delivering clean, professional work. Taught 20 years at the college level: illustration, graphic design, print production, HTML & CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, and even QuarkXPress, FreeHand, GoLive, etc., over the years.
Starting with airbrush and handbrush, pen and ink, originally, and then moving on to Photoshop and Illustrator for digital illustration, photo illustration (collage), and graphic design for print publications. Also web design, but these days I concentrate on photo illustration, minimally stylized realistic illustration, and graphic design. With a large catalog of licensed photo and art assets, the possibilities for photo illustration are all but endless. Most of the photo illustrations seen here are highly textured and carefully crafted with an average of sixty or more layers.
